About

Chi Beta Delta was founded in 2002 by eight women at Texas State University. Lauren (Barbazette) Harris, Loren Ellison, Kathryn (Finley) Hoelscher, Kathryn Flowers, Jessica (Kazen) Ovalle, Ashley McCullough-Dedear, Amy (Trammel) Spain, and Stacey Staudt shared the vision of a sisterhood founded upon personal growth  through leadership and friendship, gained by positive involvement with the community.

It is with these same principles that the Beta Chapter was founded at The University of Texas at Austin in 2006, with the goal of continuing the legacy of sisterhood through service. Our mission is to nurture each member throughout her college experience and to offer opportunities for social interaction, community service, and lifelong friendships as she meets higher and broader demands of college life. Chi Beta Delta prepares women to excel in leadership positions and offers various opportunities for members to build the skills they will need to make a difference in their communities. Chi Beta Delta creates a strong sense of sisterhood while building friendships to last a lifetime.
