Advice for PNMs: Don’t be intimidated by the actives! It might be scary at first because of all the new girls you’ll get to meet at different events, but everyone here is super nice and down to earth. We are genuinely excited to get to know you guys, so don’t be afraid to come up to us and strike up a conversation! The environment within this organization is very welcoming, and we want our PNMs to feel that as well!

Something I’m proud of: I’m proud of coming out of my shell since I’ve been in college. As someone on the shyer side, it was overwhelming to me coming into a school as massive as UT. I decided to rush Chi Beta even though I was a bit nervous at first, but it turned out to be one of the best decisions I could’ve made. The girls here were genuine and accepting, and I quickly made friends. Not only that, but being in Chi Beta pushed me out of my comfort zone in a good way and I started to challenge myself in ways that I couldn’t before. Now, I have a leadership position in an organization that I care deeply about which was something I couldn’t imagine as a freshman.

What are you most excited for Chi Beta this year? I’m most excited for the sisterhood events! It’s always fun to hang out with my sisters. Some of my favorite Chi Beta memories are from sisterhood events, and I know I’ll make some more this coming year!
